We are now offering a self study course in Canine Hydrotherapy. This course follows
the same outline as our in-class course but gives an affordable option to those
people unable to travel. There will be various methods used including correspondence
and email. The course will be very interactive and designated times will be set
to work on line with your instructor. You will require a follow up of three interactive
case studies presented by your instructor.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to determine and facilitate
a direction of care around the Veterinarian's concerns and the client’s needs.
The course will cover in-depth topics such as:-
Introduction to Canine Hydrotherapy
Canine Anatomy
Musculoskeletal System
Conditions of Influence and Effect
Determining a Direction of Care
Working with Veterinarians
Pool and Water Management
Color Therapy
Tellington Touch, Massage and Grounding.
The student will also learn handling techniques for the compromised canine. For

Note: Please be advised there is no formal education required to be a hydrotherapist
or swim assistant for animals in Canada. Neither is there a regulating body of standards
or care. It is to this end that this course is designed and presented, in the hopes
that we will help set the groundwork for standards in Canada.
